SONATA OP. 19 FOR BARITONE SAXOPHONE AND PIANO

by Sergei Rachmaninov
arr. Bonson Lee

When transcribing this piece, it was my intent to keep this arrangement as close as possible to the original cello score while maintaining the characteristic qualities of the baritone saxophone. Some triple and quadruple-stops have been altered, reduced, and/or omitted to fit within the baritone saxophone’s range and accessibility.

I would like to thank Dr. Christopher Creviston and Joel Love for their guidance throughout this process. And a monumental thank you to Josh Oxford for formatting and editing the score.

FANTASIESTÜCKE (FANTASY PIECES), OP. 73 FOR EB BARITONE SAXOPHONE

By Robert Schumann
arr. Bonson Lee

When transcribing this piece, it was my intent to keep this arrangement as close as possible to the original cello score while maintaining the characteristic qualities of the baritone saxophone. The range fits very well for the baritone saxophone, with the altissimo register that is accessible yet still challenging to the performer.

I would like to thank Dr. Christopher Creviston for his guidance throughout this process. And a monumental thank you to Josh Oxford for formatting and editing the score.
